The Recovery Centre focuses on recovering product from the waste stream. We encompass Australia’s original ‘Tipshop’ and Tasmania’s first eWaste recovery and sales facility.
The Recovery Shop has been providing our customers with access to a huge range of pre-loved products for over twenty years.
We rescue ‘stuff’ that would otherwise go to landfill and polish it up ready for the next owner. For Recovery it's all about sustainability – that is, keeping as many products and items in circulation as possible no matter how large or small.
The act of re-using items is very simple but also very powerful. Ensuring items are re-used is the easiest way for individuals and businesses to actively participate in sustainability. And as we all know, old stuff is usually better quality and made to last longer than new stuff!
Recent auditing of The Recovery Centre operations over the last twenty years found that over 15 million products have been recovered and returned to the market place, excluding recyclable commodities.
